While this compilation album stems from my personal journey through years of chronic pain and illness, the themes in the music are universal. Everyone experiences pain, grief, loss. We often struggle with the question “why” in the face of despair. Everyone waits. Everyone hopes. Each journey is different for each person, but every human being knows these battles.
Out of my struggle with physical illness and daily pain, I have found the presence of God in every area of my life, in joy and in sorrow. I realize my need to throw myself upon the mercy of God. I have come to a peace in the constant voyage through weariness. I am whole. I am a child of God. “Wait and Hope” stems from this struggle and this celebration.
Listen, and you will hear the pain. Listen, and you will hear the underlying and all-encompassing strength of the God who carries me. I pray that you will listen, and hope as you wait.
